Ok Im so happy cause the 23rd of this month (august) my dad and I are going to take our Mustangs down the 1/4 mile at the Great Lakes Race away in Union Grove, WI on their Ford Night. Just wonderin if anyone has any advice for an automatic V6. Also is there anyone here going for the Ford Night that lives in WI, it would be cool to meet some of you. Oh this is going to be fun, ah yeah I cant wait! I wonder if my dad will let me take his Cobra down the track?

Dammit! I would love to go to that, but I start school on the 21st and won't have time to mosey on over there on the 23rd. Take some pics/video, sounds sweet man. Iwannagofast is from Berlin, he might go.
I've never taken my auto down the track, but after messing around a few times, I've found that holding the brakes and revving the engine just enough (not enough to burnout) launched better. It feels sweet, the ass end of the car dips down and takes off.

The simple shit like full exhaust, Cold air, radial tires, windshield wiper delete, no spare tire. Just little shit oh and short throw. Its a convertible so I cant wait to see what it does down the 1/4 mile.

Hey SonicPony03 I looked on the calendar and the 23rd is on a sunday. Do you have school on sunday? Just thought I should ask.

No, I realized it was a Sunday, but I move in the 21st, then I'm going to be helping 3 friends move into their apartments on the 23rd. I'd really like to go, but I don't want to be a dick and back out on helping my friends out.

i have an 04 v6 auto. it runs 16's at about 86. if you can only do 1 wheel burns, then itll help you to invest in t-lok or a new limited slip differential. for your launch take the overdrive off and brake torque it. the launch isnt very good unless you already have gears in it. you can also speed shift it, if your just drivin down the road with stop lights try just launching with the o/d off, then come to another one with putting it into the "1st gear" and see what the difference is. your launch is very important, and traction at the start.
