Whats a good price for a dyno test in tune

Hey guys i live in Kennesaw,GA and i have been calling around and looking at all the shops that test and tune and i have found that most of them charge between $150-$175 an hour but i found one shop that specializes in building mustangs and he told me that it would be $900 for him to test and tune and get everything done right the firs time. is that a good deal or am i going to get screwed?

The tune on my Cobra cost $300 from the best tuning shop in my area for Fords. I did have to purchase a tuner before that which was $379 so overall spent around $700.00 for a tune on my car.

To me...I'd rather pay more up front to have it done right the first time. Ask around and find a shop that has tuned a car with a setup close to yours, or is known for having spot on tunes, and use them.

$450 to $500 is average around minnesoata but if you buy a programer to save more than one tune your looking at another $400 or so

Go to Dynospeed in Memphis and ask for Joe. I think a dynotune is $450 and this guy knows his stuff.

Brooks Speed is in Georgia...not sure how close he is to you. He used to work for SCT for a long time. Great tuner. If you already have a hand held tuner, you should only be paying around 400-500 for a dyno tune. 900 is a bit steep unless they have included a hand held tuner in that price tag.
