Is that how you chaps spell dumbass ??, anyway as some know own 08 GT500, going to pull trigger on some mods, I find the pick up less than I expected or desire, would wish for shorter throw on gears (Expect that will be expensive) & fancy some boy racer rear window scoops ( I like the cervani quarter window scoops from AM) & planning tune & CIA installation (Had good info from you blokes on CIA already), we have a specialist outfit here in St Louis "Mustang Muscle Performance", that I hear good things about & may visit with them. How much difference does a tune & CIA really make for instance ?
So any suggestions for this enthusiast with basic knowledge & thinning pocket book.
Only mechanical mod so far Bassani axel back mufflers.
Thanks
Cheers.

Tune makes all the difference with a CAI. CAI makes almost unnoticable differences on most cars. Although I'm not too sure on the 500's.
I would look into getting a package deal with something along the lines of CAI MAF and SCT Tuner (with a preloaded tune including the exhuast on your car)
Mid Pipes are a good idea. Will free up some power and add a great tone.

GT500s pick up a TON of power from a CAI/tune you will be amazed but this all is only going to happen if the tune is good.
I think some see 50rwhp from cai/tune

I've heard that a CAI and a tune will give you noticeable increases in hp and tq resulting in better acceleration and throttle response. I've heard good things about the JLT cai...a guy up here by me has an 07 with a JLT and loves it.
I personally don't have an 05+ so I couldn't tell you exact hp numbers, but listening to others in the mustang community, a cai and tune is worth the money spent.
Those Cervinis 1/4 scoops look sweet. They have "Eleanor/old school gt500" all over them. I'd definitely get them.
...and yes that is how you spell dumbass

Holy shit, 50rwhp...that must be a pretty wild tune though, still wish you could see that kind of increase on the sn95 v6's.

its just what ford left on the table in the GT500 (the 05+ gt will only pick up about 25rwhp) and 99-04 gt probably about 15-20.... lol

Ah I see, sort of like the 03/04 cobra's being underrated from the factory.

I'd be curious to see what kind of increase those cars gained without the CAI and just the tune.

While you're getting a tune...at least change that upper pulley out.
Your car with a mild upper pulley, cai, exhaust and tune should be 550 horsepower at the wheels easily.
