I figured you losers needed a hello from an old pal!
I bet this won't work... but for ol'times sakes... let's see if my old smilie is still here... :shahrum:
Anyways! How's it been going folks?! I think the last time I was on this site was a little less than a year ago. I was almost about finalized and set on getting a new 2005 Mustang and selling my current. Boy did things change! My mom insisted at that point that I look at something else besides a second Mustang. I did (along with much huffing and puffing... I wanted that new, and STILL want a new yellow or black GT :-p), but we ended up finding a fully loaded 2003 Nissan 350Z which has been my car since last October!
I sold the rice stang and apparently from my friends who have seen the new owner driving it around... it truly has become a pimp-my-ride car... and no... not in a good way at all! I'm just glad I haven't seen the old stang myself.
Anyways, I have a ton of photos of the new car, they're at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shahrum/sets/276154/. But here's a few teasers:
How's everyone else been doing? It's been way too long!!

Oh, and the only thing I've done on the new Z is I've swapped out the headunit for a Sony that way I could hardwire my 40gig iPod into it, I've added new wheels (18x8.5 front, 18x9 rear) and tires (245x40x18 front, 275x40x18 rear), and believe it or not, a Honda accessory -- an S2000 antenna. I've been saving up to Vortech supercharged it next, but that's coming along slowly due to other expenses and being busy with school.

Well, I didn't feel right getting the first year of a new model... who knows how many problems would come up. And I honestly would have regretted it -- for the moeny I paid for the Z, I could've waited another year and gotten the 2006 Cobra and still not make my monthly payments be THAT much more.
I bought the Z at a Mercedes/Audi/Porsche dealership here in Northern VA. It had only 15K miles on it, was fully loaded (GPS navigation, heated/power leather, xenon's, Bose premium audio - subwoofer behind drivers seat, etc.), and they wanted only $29,500 (came to a little over $30k OTD), which was a steal considering a new Touring 350Z can go close to $40k new with those options. The mileage was great. Sure, it wasn't a 6-speed... but I've been fairly impressed with my timing in manual mode non-the-less. And even in automatic, I've never noticed much of a significant difference over my friends' Z's I've driven that are manual.

Welcome Shahrum...
I love those cars too, so sleak looking...but there interior sucks on them, there is no detail andthe doors feel real flimbsy to...like almost paper thin!
I love the saphire blue aswell, but its alot of money for the v6 for sure.
I would love one of them one day too if they were so pricey!

Hey Krazy!!
Really? I always thought the Mustang was cheap in the interior... Interior wise on the Z is nothing but perfection as far as I'm concerned. The doors are THICK and there's plenty of detail...
I believe you mean the Daytona Blue... by far one of the sexiest colors for the 350Z! ... other than Silver Stone (mine) of course!!
I'd say it has plenty of detail.. the brushed aluminum accents... the tripple gauge pod above the steering wheel and in the center... aluminum sill plates, etc etc.! Hah, I'm not here to sell you on the 350Z... but it certainly impressed the hell out of me. Overall though, compared to the feeling of the cockpit of the 350Z vs the 2005 Mustang, I liked the Z a LOT better. Reason being is I love the tight fit it gives me. Feels like a go kart. Definitely the 2005 made HUGE improvements over the 1999-2004 interior wise, and I was definitely sold on getting the 05 after that, but being inside the Z was a whole new feeling entirely.

hey is it true they call their intakes "pop chargers". i had a run in with a 350z and he pointed to his intake and called it a "pop charger" i was like, "umm why do you call it that? its a filter on a pipe?" he said nissan guys refer to it as a pop charger. he also said he was getting aem ems so he could tune his stock car better, though i was too drained from the pop charger statement to bring another on another statement.

[QUOTE=Shahrum]Hey Krazy!!
Really? I always thought the Mustang was cheap in the interior... Interior wise on the Z is nothing but perfection as far as I'm concerned. The doors are THICK and there's plenty of detail...
What I mean is the doors especially, because they are so flat and not much detail to them or contrast...so in that I mean almost paper thin to the body. ( I work for a Automotive Interior Design company that does the interiors for like Cadillac and Ford GT to name a few, so seeing some of the design work kinda rubs off on me sometimes I guess, even though I am in the IT field more so...)
And yes those 2 colors are the ones I would choose, or maybe High Gloss Black.
I believe you mean the Daytona Blue... by far one of the sexiest colors for the 350Z! ... other than Silver Stone (mine) of course!!

Thanks everyone for the feedback!!
And about the popcharger... a popcharger is the model of the cold air intake made by JWT. 99% of Z owners who put a CAI in their car buy this one for it's dyno proven 8whp increase so they refer to it as a popcharger and not just a normal CAI. I don't have one personally... I'm holding off on the minor bolt-on's for a supercharger instead

Nope... this is my home for now... I'll slowly move out to other areas... just affraid of being attacked as a Nissan owner on a Ford site... I'm still a Mustang owner at heart! Trust me, I would've kept the old Stang if I could've afforded it. But it was creeping its way on up to 90k miles before I got rid of her
I'll come out of here soon :-p
