Hye guys well of course if I got the mustang for 3200$ there will be a thing or two wrong with it. Lets say im in Drive, with overdrive off cruisin in 3rd and im at 50MPH and I let off the gas, it dosent do anything, it just decelerrates like its supposed to. NOW. Say im cruisin with Overdrive on, 4th gear and the same speed, I let off the gas.. and I get this vibration from the rear right side of the car, im not really sure what it could be, my buddy told me that there is a bearing back there that is shot, and he said I better get it replaced soon or my rear end will blow out, hopefully its not my driveshaft, and im almsot certain that its not the balance of the tire because it has no vibration when decelerating in 3rd, what do you guys think?

it only does it in overdrive or what exactly? Random issues when you let off the gas or always? If not always does having it in overdrive when you coast make it happen vs it does not happen when not in over drive?

Sounds more engine rpm related than road speed related.
That would tend to rule out the axle and driveshaft as well as part of the trans.
Motor and trans mounts are where I'd look first.

if its at a given mph range it may be a tire out of balance or a warped rim also, just leave it in 3rd and then do it vs over drive see if it still does it, try to trace it down to how you make it happen to when it happends etc. Could be the tranny's overdrive going back who knows.

well like I said I can be going 50 MPH without Overdrive and it WONT vibrate at all, then me going 50 MPH WITH Overdrive On it will, usually I coast around the streets around 50 MPH around here and when I let off the gas for a red light for example it vibrates until about 35-40 MPH then it stops and no more vibration but thats only with overdrive on, if I cruise at 50 MPH and start slowing up for a red light I let off the gas and no vibration at all at any speed with Overdrive OFF. And yes it ONLY does it with overdrive ON.
Thanks for all the help!

I would assume its the transmission, time to go with a t-5 or spend twice as much fixing up that POS auto
