this may be a dumb question. but what is so "rare" about it? cobras have been in production since '93 (hence '03 w/ 10th anniv package).
and it has a 4.6. they switched that over in '96, didnt they?
but regardless, it is a very nice car

It is one of the first 96 Model cars ever made with the 4.6 in it. Hince it is a Pre-Production... it was made before the mass production of the 96 Model.
That is the way I understand it.

Yup... I was just reading about it on SVTperformance and thought it was kind of a cool story. Its got the 95 spoiler, with the 4.6, originally came with the 96 hood, 95 rear bumper, 95 R rims, and some other small things. Its most likely the first modular engine in an sn95 cobra

There are 96 stangs with 5.0s in them also, rare but they are out there... all white i think.
