Trunk light fuse???????

I just finished my sub box, it looks awesome. I decided to put a lil neon tube in the box (box has windows), I wanted the neon to come on when the trunk lid opens so I went to wire it to the trunk lid light, cut the ground and when i put my wires together the light never came back on. does anyone know where or if their is a fuse to this???????????

I'm sure there's a fuse to it somewhere...check your owner's manual, I'm too lazy to walk outside and get mine right now, just got in from a long day at work.

The manual would be the 1st thing to check but I lack one, never had 1 when I bought the car/ didnt want to goto ford to buy one, yet

I kinda wondered about a few of those..what they actually do, or what would happen if they blew.
Like if:
33. stop lamp switch, speed control deactivation switch
went out....would your cruise control never cut off...

make sure you have the correct wire, check it with a tester.
