Is this normal?

Hello from Sweden I'm new here and I begin with asking a question!
When my Mustang (2003 V6) reaches around 100 km/h I hear a swishing sound from the windows. Both the windows on either side of the car and also a swishing sound from the front window somewhere, hard to tell exactly where it comes from. Anyway this is very annoying when driving far distances
So is this normal for a Mustang? Can I do anything about it?

If I get any faster like 130-150km/h that swishing sound turns into a tornado in the car and I have to raise the volume on my music to hear anything

I mean that sound gotta come from somewhere..

some mustangs in that year set (99-04) have to have their window stops adjusted, most go to far up but some may not go far enough. That or the window seals might need replacing. thats the only thing I can think of.

Is it a convertible?

Asking a question is always a spectacular way to begin!

First I would say to check the weather stripping, make sure it is in good condition. Then check those windows and make sure they seal well. The swishing is coming from some opening and you just have to find where it is and why it's there. It could be possible like SpectorV said the window stops need to be adjusted, which if I remember correctly shouldn't be too hard.

usually in my vert i have to open the driver door for the rear window to go up all the way.

Thanks for all answers! Its a Coupé! Alright I will check the windows, but I do think they get all the way up to its max. And the windows seals / weather stripping seems to be ok around the window. Its anyway no obvious chink between the window glass and the windows seals, not that I can see. Maybe I should try and tape the whole car and remove one bit by bit until I hear that swishing sound ? Thanks again I will continue my investigation!

open the door when the window is all the way up and look how the window meets the part where the mirror is. It should be flush with the seal there, not below its edge.

window stops you say? i need to check mine out too then. where are they located, on the regulator?

I think if you pull off the door panel up on top you will see them, there's something like a single bolt holding it in. You can see where it physically stops the window.

Alright, I noticed that today and it was all the way up. I guess I then have to check the window seals more carefully then? Thanks again!
