I have a 94 gt mustang, I may change my plans a bit and go with a 351ci instead of building my 302. my major qeustion here is will the 351 block bolt in the same as the 302? tranny? how aout the top end? can a 302 top end kit say a trickflow track heat with twisted wedge heads bolt on? also what about the factory A/C and alternator/ cerpintine system is it all the same? if so with the top end kit on a factory 351 short block how many hp would you expect it to produce?
thanks
Matt

Engine will bolt in exactly the same, use exactly the same trans. Difference is the deck height. You will need a few things. Here is a link for you. Its actually for fox bodies, but it will be almost identical for your 94. This is my plan for my 95 as well. But it may change since i can never make up my mind. 351 Engine Swap - 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine

As long as you are talking a 351 Windsor, all the top-end engine pieces will work okay. You could stand to go with a little wilder combo with the extra displacement, but with something like the Trick Flow kit, you will make tons of torque. It should be a fun ride.
The only problem is finding a factory 351 Windsor that is set up for a hydraulic roller cam. I believe the early Lightnings and the '95 Cobra R were the only factory 351 Windsors with roller cams.

I believe the bronco's and some of the vans that had 5.8's in them in the late 80's early 90's had roller cam 351's. you can also use stock 5.0 roller lifters with a retrofit cam made by a few cam companies.

And if your talking about spending 1k on a short block, and2500 on top end kit, plus you'll have to buy the other necesities , you might be better off looking for a crate engine? Just a thought. How much you looking to spend on the motor?

I would recommend not going the crate engine route. They tend to be overpriced for the power they make.
As for the short block you posted earlier, it may be ok as long as you are not going to be using any type of forced induction. I would almost be scared to buy an "economy" short block though.
