offroad h pipe installed woo :)

everythign went smoothly as far as broken bolts wise for installing it in my backyard on 2 jackstands. But the fucking flange at the drivers side where the h pipe and header come together leak like shit. stock headers (2 1/4" and a bbk offroad h pipe 2 1/2") should still bolt together like stock but the flange dont want to seal even tried some of that exhaust putty last night went out this morning..still leaks. grrr

hopefully montecitan will be meeting up with me and tbird this weekend and Ill try to get sound clips. sounds fuckin awesome with 1 chamber mufflers (havnt drove it yet, idle is alot better though )

spend $20 at an exhaust shop, have them adjust and tighten the exhaust down with an impact gun a few times, it'll seal up eventually, a lot more easily than you could do with hand tools..

ah yea forgot, thats cool still anyway. I figured out why it was leaking, damn unibody cars. had the drivers side jacked up higher then pass. side so frame an shit was twisted slightly put it on ramps today so it was all flat, and loosened/retightened and put in a lil more exhaust putty where there was a chip in the flange. should of stopped the leak, after tightening again it was almost gone so lets hope when putty dries its gone.

I agree with Monte, take it to the exhaust shop, I doubt that putty will last long if it even seals at all.

it just has to last until the 25th or 26th when my uncle is giving me a hand with my header install, which are 2 1/2" like the h pipe so it wont be any real fitment issues.

its working so far and it sounds fkin insane, just 2 small leaks at the flowtube flanges since they have rusted through from being 17yrs old. (the guy I had installing my exhaut couldnt make a flange for 2 1/2" pipe so we welded it onto the 2 1/4 flowtubes) Ill be getting new flowtubes as well after the headers are done and everything will be leak free
