Hey, new here(obviously) and just wanted to say hi.
Last year when my mitsu 3000GT got totaled i wound up with a 2002 v6 mustang, unfortunately automatic, in grey to replace the other car. Since then I've added steeda springs and a front strut tower brace and plan on other suspension mods under the assumption "it's an automatic, are you really gonna try and make it faster?" but that's beginning to change.
right now i'm living in atlanta, i grew up in guntersville, al(45 minutes south of huntsville, 1 1/2 hrs north of b'ham), went to high school in b'ham and still spend a lot of time there.
so, nice to meet you!

Welcome to Mustang Evolution By the way automatics are really just a easy as manuals to make fast. I go to Guntersville lake quite a lot. Use to live in Bham in the 80's. My wife lived in the Cahaba Heights area

i had seen, by reading through a good number of posts, how many people that post regularly are in the southeast, north alabama and georgia in particular. that's one reason i joined the forums rather than just reading them as i do with most. Can't wait till you guys have another meet, with 400+ cars at the last one the only place to go is up.
thanks for the warm welcome

SCT is a tuning system. There's several ppl who use that system. I actually bought the chip from a friend who sold his stang, so I dunno who exactly tuned it.

Welcome..now that I have caught up to it. And yes, there are a lot of south east folks. You may have already seen it, and since no one else has mentioned it, we are having another meet in july. It won't be as big as 400 cars, but it will still be a good time I am sure. It is in Jacksonville...so it isn't really all that far from you. Check out the southeast forum as there is a thread about it there.
Again...Welcome..and enjoy.

Haha, we don't have 400 ppl at meets, that was just a huge meet you saw us have a write up on, with the Mustang Club of America and what not. Some of us just went and gawked.

i don't think i'm going to make the jacksonville meet. i moved to atlanta at the beginning of the month, traveled around the southeast seeing friends for two weeks. drove back down to savannah, ga(where i went to school and lived for 5 years) to help my boss close his store. I'll be in savannah until the 30th, when i go back to Atl, and the i leave atl on the 6th to go fly fishing in colorado until the 13th, then back to atl to find a job.
plus that drive down to jacksonville on I-16 is pure hell. if satan built a road they would call it I-16. so the meet after that i think.

That's cool. I hope that we aren't taking 16 as part of our trip. It wouldn't normally be part of mine, but I believe I am stilling meeting everyone in alabama and we are cruising down together. Hopefully we can avoid that...although I believe we are going through ATL.
