So there will be two 4.3's on the site then
Went and got my price for machining of my block and its 325 for everything I need including the .030 overbore.
Now just waiting on the rotating assembly to get here which I was hoping would be today.

why do you need H-beam? Don't you think that's a little excessive? Most I-beams are good to around 600+hp.
EDIT: nevermind, I checked out your profile and saw what you were running. The H-beams will be good for ya

Yeah they will work ,Plus with these rods you don't have to touch the crank they will clearence without any massaging the crank so it stays stronger .
Brent I'm going .40 over What C/R are you running ? Also are you getting your pistons coated?

I believe its going to be 10:1 or right there near it.
Nah not getting the pistons coated I am on a deadline to get this done before I leave for vacation July 18th and I am tight on money. Plus I dont have the money to throw boost at it for awhile.

i'd love to have a 4.3 but its not in the cards rite now.
so i'm probly gonna do a stage 2+ power back from super six motorsports.
a good 230rwhp v6 is plenty good for me. its very rarely gonna see the 1620 as it is because thats just a quick way to eat a motor.

im curious to know why youre going as high as 9.5:1
in the 2.3L cars (i know its not a 3.8/4.2, but its what i know), most poeple who run 9.5:1 have problems with detonation, and are limited to about 12psi on pump gas
the 2.3 turbo cars came with 8.1:1, and thats usually good for 28-30psi on pump gas, as long as youre running a nice intercooler, and not overspinning the turbo and creating exessive heat
even the 2.2L chryslers run 8.1:1 if i remember correctly, and they have cast pistons

I can get away with it because it's not a daily driver I have converted it to an all out track car .I run 118 octane so detonation is not a problem.
