That's a trick question. You don't need it, it is optional. But I HIGHLY recommend it. I'll be selling my used one here for about $100 shipped in a few weeks. It's got about 40K miles on it.

Also the install cost is the same if you get a t-lok or keep the stock carrier.

It's worth it to go ahead and get a t-lok, very much worth the money.

about the daily driving, depending on what gears you get, it will cause you to be at higher rpms when on the highway in 5th, so you will lose a little bit o gas mileage

It also depends on what your plans for the car are.

there is no more of an install price to put in a tlok other than the price to put the bearings on it, its the same amount of work unless your shop is ripping you off. I would do it. I would get an 8.8 for that matter.

Well in a manual, I would say the difference is having a useful 1st gear and not having one. You'll still be able to use 1st gear, but you'll only be able to get to about 28mph, and in a hurry with the 4.10s and about 31mph with the 3.73s

3.73 would be the best for my 5 speed V6 mustang right? Where would I find them online for the best price?

stangsuspension.com will match anyone you find, but they tend to have a backorder on the t-loks.
