If you have the mach 460 system, you have 4 6x8's all the way around with 4 tweeters. The back deck has two amplifiers and 2 6x8's and 2 tweets. That is is. You won't be able to get any other speakers up there in the rear deck without major modification.

If you want subs, you're gonna have to do it like the rest of us and put them in your trunk.

How much you willing to pay? I could build a fiberglass box for o...8 10's, for the right price. Most ppl either go with 1 or 2. I have 2 12's in my car, that's the most you can put in and still have a functional trunk.

Here's a pic of my setup with 2 12's and a still functional trunk. I carry 2 full toolbags with me all the time, jumper cables, air compressor, assorted other tools, pool sticks, etc etc, and never have any problems with all that in my trunk.

I've seen 10 10s in a Mustang trunk before.
2 10s hit harder than the 10 10s did.

Not if you power them correctly. I have a friend with 6 of my 12's in the back of his explorer, talk about crazy, and they're all powered correctly. But I'd go with 2 if I was you, 2 10's would be plenty in that car, promise ya.

No, these guys were audio professionals. They even filled the trunk with sand to determine the amount of air space available and even matched the requirements for each and every sub.
They took it to a competition, and another of their cars with just 2 10s, same model Mustang, hit harder than they did reading from the dash.

It all depends on the speakers too. I can make 10 10's blow windows out...
