It's gonna look the same, just not go as far into the next gear. That's the first thing I'm gonna buy when I find a 5 speed....or 6 speed.

on the contrary. the lower height is very noticablly different. now i can actually use my cup-holder for big drinks because it doesn't sit up nearly as high. just look at a factory photo and then compare to the last pic on that tutorial.

well in my opinion i belive that the short throw shifter makes a big diffrence in apperance and shifting. In my opinion being around the guys in columbus city stangz that have the short throw shifters on their cars most of them all have mods on their car so it makes it look like you have a little sumttin sumttin under the hood. In the shifts they are alot closer and i belive they have a better feel unliek the stock shifters that feel like you have too push a mile from gear to gear. I have also drove plenty of the short throw shifters that compnays make. In my opinion buy either the steeda tri-ax shifter or a pro 5.0 they both have the best feel for shifts then a couple of the others that i have driven.

i love the stiffer more sporty feel of the steeda and the re-centering spring for when you shift to neutral.
