If you don't cut the front springs you won't need c/c plates...but I do since I cut mine. As far as stock and strut life, it all depends on how low you go. If you go without cutting, you may be ok for a while, if you cut it to my height, I dunno how long they'd last.

it will be fine, the mm cc plates even raise the strut travel a bit... but not much. You wont have a problem for a good bit (I have like 30k or more on my shocks/struts with c springs)
