Hey yall im new in the thread and i just bought my 2004 sonic blue mustang about 6 months ago and im looking to upgrade the exterior of the car. I have already found a saleen bodykit for $430 dollars ready to be painted. BUt my whole issue is i want too run either stripes or some kinda ghost flame on my car. I just dont know what color to use. I have thought about silve but i seen another sonic blue mustang with silver aswell as a sonic blue mustang with white. But if anyone can help with a good color combination for this color, your help would be well appreciated. Thank you.

well make SURE that saleen kit is NOT fiberglass and IS oem saleen, else do NOT waste your money cuz its going to be a major POS ... trust me dont do it.
I think ghost flames would look good in a purple color, accents the blue.

Well i have a friend that bought a saleen body kit for his 98 gt and they had too do so much shaving and other bull before they could prep it for paint. It ended up costing him a tone of money. I love the slaeen kit but i have also thought about just buying a regular Gt bump and putting a chin spoiler on the front and lowering the car for the overall apperance.

lol you and that black just kills me, but honestly when my parents bought the car the previous owner put some black mustang inserts in the rear bumper and it looks stupid the car just makes it look like its not even there. I also came up with an idea while i was gone away from the forum for a little while, i think it would maybe look alrite too get my hood scope re-painted flat black and do the same to the spoiler and keep the black letter insert in the bumper since they are flat black. what you think about that kyle, ITS BLACK. lol

Leave it alone. Sonic Blue is one of the best colors Ford ever put on a Mustang. Don't touch it.

lol yeah i have to agree with you on that one white, the only thing is, my clearcoat started peeling on my car in the right fender well and on my back bumper, and freeway ford tried too tell me hat i had a double paint job so i went to the manager about it and he didnt do anything but he was stupid enough to give me some info on my car that well was well needed for the lawyers advice. But they didnt want too get sued so they said they would go ahead and paint my car free of charge and get the clear coat done under warranty. The only catch is they cant do any kind of custom work, but yes im leaving it sonic blue i love the color.

Hey spec i never said anything side stripes bro, when i was talking about stripes i mean the shelby stripes stopping at the end of the hood and coming up over the car and stopping at the top of the deck lid, iono thought it is pretty much a waste of money but it looks good so we wil see

YEah i was thinking about the silver stripes for my car and then one day i seen this ladt that has a sonic blue GT that looks almost identical to mine just mine is a V6 with better rims then her car ( got those authentic mach1's ) and she had the silver stripes on her car exactly how i want too do mine, and i dont want to look like im copying anyones shit cause that makes you look like you cant come up with ideas of your own. But also in all sense what do yall think about a deep royal purple ghost flame on the car, it might look good just have too find some paint chips and a dealer of sumttin that i can hold up next to the car to make any determenation

I'm the same way though, I hate when I do something and 2 weeks later someone else is doing the same thing. In any situation not just my car.

i considered 'race' stripes on my car but thought it would look too flashy. and anything other than black doesn't go w/ my color scheme i'm buildin.
