installing CAI w/o disconnect battery?

what are the consequences to leaving the battery connected?

i've read places that don't mention disconnecting the negative terminal.

but then again thats for old foxes...

The possibilities of something bad happening is very minimal, but the reason you disconnect the battery is to avoid shock and to avoid damaging electrical sensors and the such. It's just easier to disconnect it and be done with it.
