sand it smooth and polish
requires working your way up through many grits of sandpaper, and many hours

That is the old way!!! If you go look at My Gallery of pics you will see my polished parts. I do not use sand paper that was for the 1900's I use Beadblasting, scotchbrite and polishing wheels to get a mirror finish like I have on my parts

I am not super expensive but I dont do it for free either. If I did it full time and not on the side I could have a upper intake done in a day or 2. Having the necessary equipment can greatly increase the speed of getting it done.

Well lets start a chain. When I go to Brents to build his car I wil be taking a whole set of extra accessories home with me to ceramic coat near mirror polish. I will install them on my car and take my accessories and have it done on Brents car. When he is installs them I will have them ceramic coated for the next. All we have to do is get a list of people in on the this and I will get a group cost to do these. Actually we could keep this going for a while until all who want mirror shine accessories will have them.
Ceramic coating is so much better because it requires only cleaning no polishing
So what do you all say????

Yes all the accessories are the same. Because all the 3.8 stangs a 4.2 rwd cars have the same accessory mount holes. But we do need to double check that.
Also remember you willonly get the Alternator case and you would take yours and swap cases. So when the next person ships his parts to me I would only get a alternator case

I was not aware of that. That makes my head hurt. Maybe some aftermarket ones are different. They must hook up to the same plug and bolt up to the same mount holes. Need to find out for sure though

it takes a lot of sanding and polishing and making sure you get all of the surfaced even and as smooth as possible it takes a good amount of time to get everything the way you want it.. i know from experiance

Hm...I'm bringing back a thread from the dead, but for good reason. I need something to do to occupy my time...or better yet, to give me an excuse to tear my engine apart for no good reason. How hard would this be to do with say...a sand paper wheel of sorts on a dremel? Could I knock the big stuff out that way?

i really need to polish my upper, tried painting just the letters and im still not happy , sandpaper seems too time consuming, and sending it off isnt a feasable idea for me
