gah! CAI check engine light

ok so now my check engine light is on. everything is hooked up properly save for the IAT.

does the IAT need to go inside the intake pipe. or where? because w/o the grommet on there it still wont go in.

It needs to be in there far enough to be in the airflow to get a reading.

so does it have to be able to fit in the pipe or can it be sealed up in a rubber grommet that goes into the pipe?

cuz otherwise i'll have to cut.

grommet goes into intake pipe.
Sensor goes in grommet.

sweet. so ill just buy a grommet that staggers from 3/4" to a larger opening such as 1 1/2".

then no drilling required
