The waiting list is already long, you'll be looking at around 50k for an 07 versus ~20k for an 03 cobra, low miles, with bolt ons.

I believe it to be rumored to be around 43k MSRP. It will have a decent markup initially though and then settle down to MSRP. I might trade the evo in for one, but then again, I am still eyeing the new Porsche Cayman S too for a replacement

yep, MSRP should be right above 40k, then you got dealer markups...

i'd take 40k:
20k - 04 cobra
2k - upgraded IRS components/bushings, other suspension stuff
500 - 4.56 gears, install
5k - kenne bell blower w/ tune
1k - extra set of wheels/tires
2k - other internal engine work
5k - bad-ass system, mild bass, good components, dvd headunit, gps
2k - leather recaro topline seats
a very nice 700rwhp cobra that handles like nothing else and has a super pimp interior
and still have about 2k leftover :P

They are claiming under 40k which probably means 39,995. I don't see how they can reach this price though. It seems like too small of an increase over the 04s.
Keep in mind, they also said there would be no convertible version of the Cobra in 07. Well, 2 have already been spotted on the road, with pictures, and one was even in a article where Carol Shelby and Tang boy were posing with it. So, they were wrong on that part. They also said it would have a whipple when the hype first started. Well, no longer a whipple, it is a (H)eaton.
SVT Has stated to a number of people who have called them about it that the actual price, true hp numbers, and other details will not be announced until January at the earliest. Dealers have no clue what is going on and won't until about 6 months after they are finally released to them as usually.
Production numbers have been claimed to be around the 7000 mark, but I believe that is just to get the hype up even more just like they did with the 03s. There will be a second run of them I am sure, but, the dealers will have their little stickers on there from day 1 ranging anywhere from 5k to 15k markup again. This will definitely be true if the rumor is true that all dealerships will receive at least 1 cobra to sell. It is said that there will not be a requirement for the dealership to be an SVT dealer anymore. I don't understand this as that will mean any dealer will be able to work on them as well. I certainly wouldn't trust just any dealer to work on a SVT mustang without the proper SVT training.
Anyhow, after all of that rambling, rumors are flying everywhere. The real info on the car is not expected until January. However, I see it being over 40k, markups of 5k plus, more than the stated 7000 built, a convertible model, the eaton, and it will not contain the Shelby tag and I don't believe it will contain the cobra tag either...but that might not drop until the Shelby Cobra 2 seater is released.
Ok...if you are still awake, carry on.

Yeah, the comeback of the Shelby AC Cobra. Been on Rides a couple times...although, on rides it had a V10 engine with 600+ hp. Would be cool if it was really released that way. lol.
