Whats better, to install a catback that is a direct bolt on with the y pipe? Or get the catback kit and cut it to make it a true dual? which one will give me more performance? and which one will give me a better sound? Thanks for the help.
if you dont plan to really add much power just go with the Y Pipe kit thats what i have and im happy with the sound not rediculously loud but not quiet its just perfect. true dual will obviously flow much better and pay off in the long run if you add a lot of other things as for sound its more a muffler choice and KEEP YOUR CATS im not so much a fan of how v6 stangs sound with certain mufflers w/o cats
I bought a magnaflow direct bolt on kit, but i wasnt sure to install it how it is, or make it into a true dual. So yea.. Thats why i wanted to know which one is better.
to make the y pipe catback exhaust into a true dual setup you either a have to buy a differant exhaust setup or b you cantake it to a shop and possibly have them fab something up for you
If you don't plan on doing many mods to your car, there is really no need for true duals except for the fact of saying you have true duals. As far as putting the new exhaust on your car, it really isn't that hard. If you just have no idea what you're doing, then just go to an exhaust shop, they shouldn't charge you much of anything to put it on.

If you do the Y-pipe bolt-on, then do it yourself and save the money.
