So can anyone vouch for the quality of the headlights on ebay? are they the same as what you get on AM.com? Looking at 99-04 styles.

Depends on the headlight. Some reputable aftermarket mustang companies sell OEM or smoked headlights on ebay that are good, quality lights. But other headlight styles, like the euro or halo styles can be cheap crap from shady "ebay" stores.
That's my .02 on them, I haven't actually ordered headlights form ebay though.
What style headlight were you looking at?

^ what he said. I wouldn't go with anything other than stock/oem or smoked headlights, they look too ricey IMHO.

Any aftermarket headlight you buy needs to be resealed.

I would suggest not using ebay, but if you're like so many people you'll do whatever you want and buy the cheap ones anyways. My suggestion is to only buy from a very reputable dealer and make sure you are well aware of the return policy.
Lowflyn is right, the first thing you need to do is reseal ANY aftermarket headlights. It will save you a lot of headache later.
