okay, i need some truthful opinions here. i talked to a friend who has a 99 T/A with the WS6 package along with the ram air hood. he is wanting to get rid of it, for reasons not involving the car.
this car has 65k miles on it. its a 6-speed. i am supposed to be meeting up with him tommorrow for lunch to talk about selling my stereo. but if i look at this car and its in just as good physical condition as my car, should i see about a trade. sorry i dont have more info on his car, but i do have kbb blue books on both our cars and his is $30 more, thats it.
in the end, is this a worthwile trade?
i think like this:
i will be getting a manual
i will be getting a V8
i will be gettin a car that handles better, and sound better than my car
i will also be trading an 04 with 40k miles for a 99 with 65k miles.
if the car is in just as good physical condition as mine, is it worth it?
please list any advantages/disadvantages. personally, i like both body styles so it really doesnt bother me there.

To be honest, it would be a trade worthwhile IMO if the car is in good shape. You will get better gas mileage in the WS6, the only thing is, you won't have a stang anymore..

Yeah, but i Think this is the one he is trading for...

Seriously though, I wouldn't. Not sure of the gas mileage issue as I would think you would get less in a V8 then you would a tuned V6 even tho it is an auto. But, I say no even though it is a V8...but you knew that already.

i personally would not do it if i were in your shoes because well i just love mustangs for 1 but i think its more impressive to see a fast v6 then a fast v8 but whatever your decision good luck!!

I say, Do it! I average 20mpg (when I calculate at the end of every tank) and put 300 to the wheels, bone stock. I love my TA. Haven't had any trouble out of mine in the just over a year I've had it (33k on the clock, 26k in my possesion).

they are faster if thats what you want, but I wouldnt trade for one, I would get something else, but its your call. It wont have any sort of warranty so make sure you know what you are getting into.
I wouldnt do it cuz I am a stang guy, but that shouldnt stop you if you dont want to be in the mustang circle.

The LS1 is stupid easy to get 400+ hp out of and better than V6 Stang mileage.
Since it's a TA I'd go for it, I hate Camaros myself.

non supercharged LS6 = 03/04 cobra
supercharged LS6 >>>>> 03 cobra.
stop idlizing the 03/04 cobra. its basically a cobra engine with a blower on it. Heck, a camaro/TA/vette could come stock w/ a blower and it would destroy the cobra. And an LS1's top end can only really be matched by a single turbo supra. especially if the LS1 has heads and cam. The LS1 engine is better than Ford's engines
