wth....shop wants 1k for installs

ok a shop here wants 1k for my 4-bolt c/c plates, tokico blue shocks/struts, and h&R super sport springs
they said they need to fab some things...someone explain? or suggest a good shop ANYwhere in fl?

Fab stuff? You should only need to drill a couple holes for the CC plates, and the rest should just be take out and replace. I don't see a need for fabing anything, unless I am just dumb...which could be the case too.
But, with labor charges, that might not be far off because they are probably giving you the book times at about $70 an hour. Got any friends who are handy? Those items shouldn't be too hard to do in the driveway with the right tools.

Did mine with all hand tools...not the easiest way..but it did it.

I know the springs and the shocks and struts aren't hard. Ive done those myself with hand tools. I have no idea about the C/C plates.Check here for the articles for the springs and shocks. http://www.mustangevolution.com/articles/

Most shops will charge 200-400 for a complete install of shocks , struts, springs and C&C plates

Mine are the MM 4 bolt fully adjustable powdercoated black, part number MMCC9994. I will be getting these tomorrow supposedly and they will go on saturday one way or another. Expect a full write up if I can get my friend to take pictures for me.
