Hey guys! Well I have a little problem, nothing big, say im leaving a stop light, push on the gas and I start accelerating, and then while im accelerating, it hesitates for a second or two, and then keep on accelerating, while im on the gas the same amount the entire time, I am probably thinking, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, something to do with fuel maybe, what are your opinions?
Edit: Oh ya and this is just NORMALLY accelerating, not getting on it at all.

Is it missing any? Or just hesitating? I'd check the fuel filter first.

Its just hesitating... If I we're to let off and punch it, it takes off like a bat out of hell.

hmm, umm, well considering my gas gauge dosnt work, I know I dont have much in there right now, ill get a full tank and see if it happens, but the thing is it only happens for a second or two, if I get on it, it might hesitate for a brief second but then it just launches, dosnt hesitate at all, and I have an auto.
Thanks!

You could have a TPS going out or intermittently working right at the ,moment of movement but when you hit the throttle hard it skips that area and goes wide open and works normal. I would also look at the possibility of a dirty MAF

if you check the TPS, make sure it is not tightened down too much, it can keep your throttle blade from opening and closing smoothly.

speaking of MAF.. if you have an oil media filter (K&N or something like it..) you might have a fouled MAF.. get some electric contact cleaner (make sure it specifies no residue) from a parts store and spray the wires on the MAF

doubt fuel filter is problem- it would be worse at WOT due to flow restrictions.

Very likely could be your oxygen sensors. mine were making my 88 run a little rich and hesitate, but she would still get on it. also the air bypass on your throttlebody can get dirty and make it idle crappy when it's cold.

umm where exactly is the air bypass on the throttlebody? it does idle a little rough, but I found out it was just not enough gas in my tank, because I can turn right onto a road and kind of push it and it hesitates and goes, I filled up and did it again and I just punched it and it ran straight threw with no problems.
