My sister has a 2003 mustang v6 auto and she wanted some gears but i told her that they were expensive from 500 to 700 and heres the lowest price i found for 4.10 gears  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7988072297 is this good quality or should she get ford racing i have all ford racing parts and i love them but it is expensive |

get 4.10 gears ONLY dont settle for any less, unless you dont want much of an improvment.
gears/tlok will be 400 bucks ONLY BUY OEM FORD DO NOT BUY RICHMOND OR ANY OTHER BRAND.
installation gets expensive... expect 200 at least adn only get it done by a trained professional.... and get a warranty on the work IN WRITING lol.

Isnt it also good to buy the rebuild kit which is like 95 bucks and the posi trac additive which is like 15 bucks an |

yea i would NEVER EVER buy used gears/tlok due to all of the MANY MANY horror stories I have witnessed and read about... if you do however you need to rebuild it.
My personal experience.... I got used gears/tlok and installed them. Then I broke my rear end not even abusing it... and it cost me TWICE as much to get my rear end where I wanted it... I spent 900-1000 bucks on my 7.5 rear end cuz I tried to do it cheap lol... I could have gotten an 8.8 rear end for WAY cheaper than that...

But I have used gears but I would never buy a used TLok unless I knew exactly who it was coming from. gears are gears and if they are not worn they are OK but a Tlok has many parts and could have hidden damage especially in the clutch plates and spider gears and you might never know.
You always buy an install kit when you install a Tlok and you always put Friction modifier in with the lube additive is only $5-$7!!! $15 is insane and a ripoff

yea, tloks are the main issue to look out for, i would only buy new, the 7.5 tlok is the weak link... the spider gears love to break... I have one that broke... well two peices of one that broke lol.
gears are gears... about the main issue is gear whine if they are worn in good... and thats very annoying.
