Smaller pulleys create more boost by speeding up the rotation

rebuild your engine and build it up before you boost it.

I am going to disagree with 232stang just a bit. The age of the motor and low boost is not going to kill the engine as long as the engine has been well taken care of and you get a dyno tune ASAP. Get a compression check done. you can even get a oil analysis done to check for metal particulates in the oil and filter. I have seen older engines with nitrous and superchargers and still no problems. I will say buiding up a engine is preferable but it can be done on a stock motor with high mileage if the motor is sound. Remember the biggest thing you can do to prevent the supercharger from destroying the engine is to schedule a dyno tune to be done when you get the supercharger in. I have seen to many people blow engines racing around before they got tuned, Get tuned immediately after installation

Correct me if I'm wrong but a complete tuneup and a really good tune will keep your car from blowing up.
I don't know who said it but someone said that it's all in the tune. A safe tune = a living car. An aggressive tune on an old car = a dead car.

a good tune on any car, regardless of supercharged, turbo'd, nitroused, or naturally aspirtated helps with its long life
an aggressive tune on an older engine wont kill it, because as long as its tuned properly, you should be safe, unless you do soemthing stupid
8psi isnt enough to kill the engine, but 8psi and a horrible tune is, as Danger Dude has been saying, get it properly tuned, pick up a kit that comes with EVERYTHING
the kit youre looking at looks to have everything youd need, it uses a FMU, which with as little boost as youre running, should get you by on stock injectors, but its not the ideal way to do it

I agree with Tbird232ci the FMU is not the way to go. It fakes the system by adding additional pressure to the stock injectors. 14's are just to small. There are barely enough for even a mildly built engine. A upgrade to 19's or 21 is a would be much better but actually I would go to 30's or a little higher if I was to go with a supercharger

once again, i agree with Danger Dude, if you get some bigger injectors, say 30# injectors, and you get your car tuned for them, you can eventually upgrade and have room to grow, and just need to have it tuned, rather than going, buying some 19# injectors, then later buying 30#, and then later going to 42# etc
as Danger Dude said, an FMU basically inscreases fuel pressure at the FMU see's boost, a typical pressure regulator will increase fuel pressure 1psi per 1psi of boost, so for example, if you run 38psi base fuel pressure, and you have 10psi of boost, you will have 42psi of fuel pressure under boost
with an FMU, you can have them increase fuel pressure anywhere from 1 to i think 6psi depending on the FMU per pound of boost, so say youre running 38psi base pressure again, with 10psi of boost, and 2psi per pound of boost, youd be seeing 58psi
at a certain point, your injectors wont be able to flow any more fuel, your pump wont be able to supply more pressure, and youd have to upgrade anyways

Prices though, do they even change depending on how big an injector you get?
For example like 220 or so for a new set of 19's, basically same price for a new set of 30's or no?
If yea then I say why not just save yourself the 200 bucks down the road?

19's can be found cheap. All 5.0 and 4.6's till 98 had 19's. You can pick up good used 19's for 50-70 bucks all day long. Even used 30's are a little high because they are in demand for high N/A HP and supercharged engines
