Why does everyone knock on the Regal, they are decently quick and I honestly don't think they look all that bad.

stock they're pretty slow.. a 99+ v6 5 speed would probably hang okay..
I'm already working on modding it though CAI in, downpipe in the works.. then come the colder range plugs and 180* tstat.. and finally a pulley haha
then I'll be cookin..

I like the G6 alright but... Whenever I see the new grand prix I want to kick or choke someone.. or vomit on them... lol.. I drove one.. interior is just as bulbous and ugly as the exterior, though I'm sure the camel colored interior that already showed stains everywhere's after 2000 miles didn't help.. I wouldn't have been able to stand it

What gets me is they apparently don't make a Gran Prix 2dr. coupe at all. Sucks all these cars that never were even offered as 4 doors are only offered that way now.

in the GM community the bigger complaint is that its FWD and V8 options are either nonexistant or extremely expensive

There is a reason for the lack of front wheel drive
A. Customer complaint frequency of repair
B. Weight distribution is bad everything is in the front
C. Large cars perform poorly with FWD
Why do you think the Chrysler Benz, BMW, or numerous german or european cars dont FWD cars in there lineup??? Simple tiny small jap cars perform marginally with FWD because they are light nothing more. As Jap cars started to grow so did the problem with FWD. RWD cars perform better on the track and cost less. To build a FWD that is able to handle boat loads of torque and HP for stock factory car it is way to expensive.
Over the next several years you will see fewer and fewer FWD's unless they are tiny.

nonono I meant that GM has a lack of RWD cars.. all the old name plates (grand prix, monte carlo, regal, etc..) except the ~GTO/vette/etc are basically FWD cars.. few RWD cars.. and the enthusiasts don't like that

It currently that way but it is about to change over the next few years. Unfortunately GM is so big it has a more difficult time makeing model changes as fast as others. They take years to go from draft to final production. Really only Chrysler has the speed to take something from prototypes show car to reality fast. GM and Ford take forever and it always seems waterdown. Just look at the prototype Mustang and the final version!!!!
