200 lbs lighter and 100 hp more costs 95k (sayin the mustang is 30k, msrp is 25k) I could make alot more hp then 100 with 95k and still have a full weight car eat that fucker...
so in reality, a used, bolton 03-04 cobra can kill their fabled 125k race car? and your only spending what..ive seen them as low as 24-27k

eh, you could take a viper or a vette and do little things to them, still make more power than a measly 400hp, and still cost less.
come on ford, 400hp? you humor me. a base model vette makes that much power, and could prolly still be just as good in the turns.

These things have already been winning, read about them in last months MM&FF or 5.0&SF.

i think they also gave these cars a full coilover conversion and a solid axle in the rear...
not sure about the latter but almost positive about the coilovers

These cars are race ready cars. They have the roll cage, the tranny, the suspension, the brakes, everything you need for racing. This is not a special edition street car. it is not even street legal. Comparing it to the vette et al is really dumb considering the race vettes aren't the same as the street versions either. This is like taking a body in white and building a race car out of it. It would probably cost you at least 125k to do so once you buy that $15k 5.0 cammer engine.
On a side note, why can you buy a standard 5.0L complete crate engine for around $4k brand new, yet this cammer version is $15k?
Anyhow, this car would eat a cobra alive on the track, modded engine or not. It is setup and designed for racing, and has been winning race after race since it's release. Like fast64 said, check out last months 5.0 mustang and super ford. I believe that these cars finised like 1, 2, 3 and are really tearing things up.

its still retarded to have a "race ready mustang" that only has 100 more hp then the gt...the 07 shelbys are going to have more then that I think...cmon now ford, thats just retarded.

Yes, but this engine is naturally aspirated. So, they are pushing that 400 without any help not to mention with less displacement as the 07 and just a touch more than the 03/04s. Also, the 03/04/07s all have forced induction, this one does not. Add forced induction to that car, and see ya.

you have to remember that these cars are built for a certain class, where your hp to weight ratio has to be within a certain range
thats a car you can buy, hop in, and go racing with the pro's, its not some little auto cross car, or a little straight line car, this is a full blown race car, hp doesnt mean shit when youre corner carving
