2006 Clutch - very minor chatter from 1st - 2nd

Howdy All,
My 2006 has had a "touchy" clutch ever since I bought it. It takes a push near the floor before you can change gears. I have to move the driver seat up to have more control of the clutch and shifting. This clutch feel is most annoying when going form 1st - 2nd. It's not uncommon for me to stall. I've had this car for more than a year, so you'd think I would be used to this clutch by now.

So I guess I'm asking if it's a big deal to adjust this clutch?

Also, I've noticed this week that there is very minor chatter going from 1st to 2nd. Doesn't happen all the time, mostly when the clutch is partially engaged. (like going up a drive way, etc)

Will an adjust help the "feel" allowing for engagement faster as the pedal is pushed? Is the chatter something to be concerned about?

It sounds like you need a clutch. If the "throw" is "all the way at the floor"-you are probably at-or close to zero adjustment. There is a hydraulic component to these clutches-which I don't particulary care for-and have compensated for this by shifting at the "top of the pedal". This is a 5900 mile clutch-and that's the way I have shifted it-since purchasing the car back in April...

you can adjust is so its higher up aka more petal push before it reaches the floor. This might fix the issue. Since you dont have a clutch cable not sure how to adjust it but it cant be that bad. I am pretty sure the manual has how to do it but... their way (if its raising up on the petal and pushing it in or what ever which yours may not can do) generally doesnt work. There may be a screw or something you can do.

I did a poor job describing the "feel". It's more the combination of clutch and gas that is required to shit smoothly. It's got more of a drag strip setup than a "stuck in traffic" "pulling up the driveway" setup.
