 Rick Kilpatrick, AAS Automotive Systems Tech, Alamance Community College, Class of 99. 06 5 speed manual Mustang with Pony pkg : GT Mac Mufflers, true duals with one custom pipe. 2.5" system. GT bumper cover, all installed March 7&8 2006. AFE Stage 1 CAI, Motoblue Underdrive pulley, GT aluminum shifter knob, honeycomb rear blackout panel,and dash kit installed. Roush hood scoop and side window louvers installed. SS taillight trim has been installed, new alum. GT steering wheel installed.

I have a 2003 V6 Mustang...........so am I better off with the metal CAI?

Well, the full length densecharger (plastic CAI) was very popular for a while, but if they dont' make it anymore, I don't think you will be able to get one, so you will most likely have to go with the metal type. Mac, BBK, or the Ebay knockoffs.

Ebay knock off's are half the price for the same thing. Go off ebay.

it's really not that big of a deal, but i'd prob go with plastic.
a friend with a 99+ stang had trouble fitting a demolet full length though, just a word of warning.

also watch out for demolet, the grommet is really big and thick, it sticks the throttle body, which could cause ur car to keep reving and possible move, if ur in gear, or got an auto.
happend to a few members of this site, and lots of other people.
99vert to name one.
