i want my 99 stang to sound louder and have a more aggresive tone. As far as exhaust goes, i have true dual H pipe with flowmaster 40 series and no down pipe or anything.
Will these LT headers actually make a difference as far as sound goes? I know they provide more power in the 4000 RPM range, cuz i've seen the dyno for them. I want my car to be heard before seen, but reality kicks in and reminds me i'm running a V6. anyone have suggestions??

^it doesn't sound that bad if you have the right catback
i have long tubes on my 97, and my exhaust doesn't sound that bad. i dunno if the headers made a lot of difference though, cuz i had everything done at once
my engine is stock, so i do know that without a CAI i was running a bit lean on air.

yea at certain RPM's it starts to sound like rice which is why i'd like to change it up a bit. plus i just get bored with it after a while. I may just spend money on better mufflers and wider tubing...
and why would i buy used headers off you if i can get them new for $260.00? i'm insulted you think i'm that dumb

wider tube will hurt backpressure and move your tq up in the power band, the car will feel slower/performe worse.
put money into mods that will make a difference first then L/Ts will help alot.

i wasn't calling you stupid in either case. i made the statement that you needed 2 to explain what i was saying, not saying you were stupid...and in my first post i made a legit offer, you then acted like i was an asshole..i simply explained my reasoning in the following post, i was not being sarcastic. I just got that info straight from mac to explain that i wasn't playing you for a nimwhit

my bad KyleUSAF. it's hard to tell how you're saying it when i'm just reading it online. i didn't mean to be rude. i apologize. (I had a long long day at work) i wish i knew the website that had the ones i'm thinking of. My friend showed it to me like a couple weeks ago, but i think it was some random ford car nut that made them custom locally. that's probablly why they were selling for cheap. in any case thanks for the offer.

that's why i clearified up above that it was an old local person who was really in to cars and did some custom stuff himself. it's not like some high rated company that mass produces them so cheap, but whatever...
