the site i got it from offered a run and drive verification on it, so it does. As far as I know, all the damage is cosmetic (bed, tailgate, lights, and rear bumper - and a little bit on the 3rd door too). When it gets here, if it looks like it has frame damage, it will probably go on the rack or even get a frame swap (its not too much work).

Plans for ranger:

1. install new bed, tailgate, tail lights, rear bumper, paint if needed, possibly some spray-on liner.
2. drive.

I think I am going to buy another ranger that got hit in the front to use the bed, taillights, tailgate, and rear bumper from. Then sell the rest of that truck.

lowflyn - I am probably going to be buying a salvage title ranger with a front hit to take the bed from. Would you possibly interested in buying the rest of the truck after I use the bed? It would make a good parts truck or even a good rebuildable truck since you can probably find a take off bed for cheap from a utility bed company.

I picked up the truck today. It is immaculate; the engine is spotless, the interior is perfect, the paint is amazing (except where it got hit). The frame is straight as an arrow (that makes me VERY VERY VERY) happy. The truck has 3/4 of a tank of gas in it too (w00t). The bed is pushed into the cab a little more than I thought from the pictures but its only a couple hours of body work - all cosmetic stuff, nothing structural was damaged. Friday I will be bidding on 6-7 trucks with front hits as a donor vehicle.

So if anyone is looking for the right side of a ranger bed, an engine/trans, full interior, airbags (hopefully), doors, wheels, little this-n-thats, anything, let me know. Sonic, what are some ranger forums I can advertise on?

picked up a donor car today. The frame is toast I'm sure, not much good sheetmetal other than the bed, bags are blown too. The rest of the interior is fine however, and being an '03 with only 18k on the 3.0 I am sure I can make some money off it. one of the tires on the '00 is flat, so I will probably swap out all the rims/tires since the ones on the '03 probably have more tread left.
