I'd be curious the decibels my car makes at 70...I do know if you pull over after 2 hours of driving interstate with the top down you can't hear shit. Then again...about the same with the top up...

mine is louder with the top down since my exhaust is not painful (aka I have cats) since no cats is simply to much.

i listen to the music loud as well.

i screwed up my ears big time in my younger years. spent too much time playing in a band in a 10x10 room with half stacks.

convertible would be rehab for me.

I figure mine is already screwed as well. Used to have large systems and listened to it extremely louder than any person should ever listen to music (when classical makes you sick to the stomach it's too loud). Now I have loud vehicles, also use hammer drills on at least a weekly basis in encloses areas. Rarely use any hearing protection firing weapons.

You can ask Tiff, I can't hear shit.

the only danger in normal driving with the top down to me is:

A: People talking to you... you get to hear stupid things they say and it can lower your IQ
B: Cigarette buts people toss out, they can end up in your back seat (I HATE when people toss their shit out the window... LAZY)
C: Sun Burn

some tool bag (got baned on the forums for ripping off a member on another forum) threw their own cig out the window (mistake one smoking in a sonic blue cobra) and it came back in and burned a hole in the rear seat lol

that car now resides on this forum in another members ownership dun dun dun....

Smoking in with the top down is just dumb. With the wind it is very easy for the fire to end up on the floor, seat, or on you.
