what is the website for all the rules at the track?
I know 13.99 or faster needs a helmet
I am expect to run about a 12.3 right now, what else would I need?

Depends on what sanctioning body the track goes with...
IHRA NHRA etc.

ok. just found the track's website. they say 11.49 faster you need a rollbar and 10.99 you need a cage.
thanks
but I don't want to run an 11.49 or faster.
-race jacket
-roll bar
-3" racing harnesses
-driveshaft loops
forget that. I'll just get kicked out

All depends on where ya run. Pretty much all the tracks down here dont care. Our local 1/8th mile track dont even make you wear a seat belt....no matter what you are running.
The closest 1/4 mile track here requires a seat belt and a helmet if you're in the 13s I think.

Nah. I haven't gone to the track yet, but I theretically I should be at a 12.3ish based on what others are running with the same mods. The dyno I use is a mustang dyno, which reads low. It's about 350 on a dynojet. It takes about 360-370whp on the dyno I use to run 11s.
It's not just hp that lets you run 11s and whatnot. A 330whp evo is about equivilant to a 600rwhp cobra. I have seen plenty of races where a 300-350whp evo is staying with and passing a 550-650rwhp cobra. (seen quite a few with different cars, so it's the car, not the drivers). It just has to do with weight and gearing and aerodynamics and redline, etc. But for my car, it only takes about 380 with a pretty good driver. Don't forget the awd vs. rwd. I can get 1.6x 60's, where a cobra can get 1.8s or so. 1 tenth in the 60' is equal to 2 tenths in the 1/4.
mrpburke - the drag stip here is used by NHRA and all that high end competitive stuff. They check everything

You need a drive safety loop if you plan on running sticky tires ,also 11.49and lower you need a ,SFI Flex plate or flywheel,6 point roll bar and an aftermarket bellhousing .

are you saying a 330whp evo runs in the low 12s, and its faster than a 600rwhp cobra? I haven't been to the races in a while, but last time I checked, Cobras in the 470-500rwhp range were clicking off 11.4s-11.7s.
