and that part is steel right?
id get it welded and slap on some support braces there just to for peace of mind. that cant be good for stuff to crack like that.
maybe something like that is covered by ford no matter what. if you didnt crash it, and its not like it has 1000ftlbs of torque to "twist the chassis off the line" as vin diesel puts it, maybe its covered.

it feels like aluminum kinda, fiberglassy in a way too, i dont know. my brother in law is a welder and i called him and he says if he welds it its just gonna crack again eventually if i drive aggressively, he says to buy a new part from ford and buy a strut to strut brace. i know this car couldnt have that much torque, but i guess the car just isnt designed for the amount it does have.

It's called the radiator support if I remember correctly. Mine is cracked in the same spot. They wanted 80 bucks for one...so I told them to keep it and still have mine cracked.

i broke that part on my car a bit back, its an easy fix. The part is around 100 bucks at ford. Just take the head lights and front bumper off and you can see the bolts to remove it on each side by the head lights in the far corner and what not, the whole panel comes out easy adn the new one slides in, it wont be painted so paint it first of course.

i replaced it yesterday. it was a pain in the ass. the saleen fascia is a whore to take off. the two nuts in the fender well that are hard to reach when your car is 2 inches off the ground. but i got her done then celebrated by leaving the nearby streets with a fresh coat of rubber on them. wonder what the fine for 95 in a 35 is?
