Got my paint ready. plan to start on the bronco either tomorrow or sat at the latest (yeah im skipping work tomorrow)
and misc pics
worked some more yesterday on the pass side fender mount
and cleaned up the pass side fender cuts a little better. this is when my cut off wheel tore itself to pieces and now i cant loosen the nut holding the disc on so i stopped, and it was kinda rainy today, didnt want to get electricuted so i am hoping to do the drivers side tomorrow and get it done.
after i get it done i will start prepping the bronco for paint by washing the truck for the first time since October of 04, pulling the mirrors, tire carrier, sanding the little bit of surface rust that is on the hood, taping everything off that isnt getting painted, etc etc...while the olive drab is drying i will probably start sanding down those wheels so i can paint them.

actually there was a big need to cut them...even with a 4" lift, the 36" tires were extremely too close to be able to wheel it.
the best primer in the world is paint that is already there. I just have a few spots on the hood where there is some surface rust so those are the areas that are getting primer. Just scuffing up the rest of the paint.
tan is because that is what is in camo (whole truck is being painted)

OOO Ok, I didn't know you were painting it camo.
That will be sweet. My uncle rattle canned his truck camo, he used real leaves to make outlines in the paint.

youve actually reminded me of an old plan i have for a ranger if/when i ever get one
i want a short bed, single cab 80's ranger (my friends 88 inspried me, it was a fun truck)
wanted to put an EFI 302 in it, with a 5-speed, a nice transfer case, live axle up front, and a 4" lift on some 33's, painted it semi-gloss green of sorts, and every bit of chrome would be done semi-gloss black, with a semi-gloss clear over it, and semigloss black wheels, i think it would be pretty neat

i dont like the look of flat, because it looks like primer, and gloss on a truck shows every imperfection
id like a slightly "finished" look
whens the Bronco gettin paint?
