i have decide to swap my 04 v6 with the 5.0 NOT the 5.4! what do i need exactly to change! i know what im getting myself into just need to know what to do! would a 4.6 be easier?

literally a ton of stuff, more than you can imagine. In the end its gonna be cheaper to sell your car and buy another one, but of course only if you want to go that route~ if you dont care about yoru car's resale value or what not then you can go for it.

nearly all mustang modders will tell you its easier to just buy and stick to a GT. but if you are determined to swap for a v8 in your v6, its best to buy a cheap GT as a donor car and swap all the parts... because you'll need a lot of it - nearly everything (you'll need fuel lines, radiator, brakes, suspension, rear end, transmission, wiring, etc).
thats one reason why most people will recommend just buying a GT - you will end up buying more than the car's worth of parts and swapping them to an inferior car. so in the end, you will have a second rate v8 mustang when you could just have the GT without the hassle, money and time. but if you are doing it strictly for fun, then by all means, let us know how it goes. im sure brent would love an article.

lol yea i am just doing it for fun. i havent seen a 99-04 5.0 swap before! NOWHERE! i think it would be cool and with the right exhaust set up it will purrrrr like lion

I would only put a 5.0 in the car if I built it first, so budget 4-5 grand for building the motor.
Then say another 3k for parts to put it in (including transmission)
of course not really sure if that could all be done with labor, might have to do it yourself.
so...7-10k for it if you did it right... oh yea dont forget to upgrade the rear end, throw on another 1k for that.
so...8-10k~

Are you going to keep it fuel injected or change to a carburetor?

i would like to keep it fuel injected but idk how we gonna do this yet! and yes we are building it from the block up then toped off with twin turbo! the 5.0 have great torque but low hp! im hoping the twin turbo set up will equal that out! budget is 10 grand! i honestly dont see it going over 7 if i get my deals right! and im gonna swap out the rear end to 8.8. idk when this project will take place. i have my Vg30dett riped down right now and rebuilding it! im almost done then all i have to do is change out the turbos on it! then the engine stand will be free for my 302! im think im just gonna buy a nice block and order each parts as i see fit. or maybe just buy a long block and tear it down and just keep the other parts for back up! idk what you guys think
