has anyone tried restoring their headlights using the how-to article on this site? it's something that i really need to do, because mine are disgusting, but it just sounds a little tedious. i would love to just buy a new set but i don't have $300 lying around for that. any input would be great!

There was a thread about a month ago, someone did it and it came out perfectly. If I get my reflectors out and I'm happy, I may try it.

yea i tried it. i was skeptical at first because i didn't want to take sand paper to my headlights but i figured what the hell. I only had 1500 grit available so that's what i used. And yes it does take a long time but worth it to save 300 bucks i think. I didn't take time to mask it off or anything. just took a nice size square of the 1500 and dripped water from a water bottle every few seconds. I wish i had spent more time on them because it looks like i missed a couple spots. i spent like a good half hour on each one. it's hard to tell if its working at first because it gets this white film and crap running all over the place. afterwards it didn't look like much but when i rubbed in my scratch remover it looked good and felt oh so smooth.

I Also Wanted To Buy New Headlights Until I Had Bought Some Scratch Remover And I Used Sand Paper (the Finest One) And Sanded The Headlights Applied Some Scratch Remover And Now They Look Great, But Yeah You Have To Take You Time On It. It's Veryy Easy To Miss Spots. Take You Time That's The Whole Secret.

Mami, that's what happens when you type in all caps, and that's even harder to read than all caps...
