dont get me wrong i love fords too but you just gotta think before saying something like that, correct me if im wrong but that makes no sense. GTO, Charger, Corvette, Grand Prix, and Grand Am is a lil more than the mustang, thunderbird, and if you wanna count ford GT?

grand am and grand prix most consider sports car..in the two door versions.. and yea charger.. i guess im on crack

try a Holden Monero with an LS1 and a 6-speed, maybe not a sports car, but its no slouch either
GM does have sports cars, just not anything really like the mustang, or camaro, they have the Cobalt SS, the Ion Redline, the Vette, the Caddy LXR, the Solstice that will be coming out, and you can almost consider the GTP a sports car...almost |

yes, the GT will manhandle a camaro in the twisties, but you gotta take in account the price that you pay for the both
how much does a GT cost now? im not sure, but ill say 125K, then you get a camaro, you can get them for less than 25K, 100K dollar difference, i hope the car will outhandle a camaro |

anything with 250+hp is considered a sportscar nowadays.
i dont consider the evo, sti/wrx or srt4 sports cars but they are considered them. 4dr instantly rule out sportscar status.
GM lost the fbody but gained the GTO, which is a pretty dam good tradeoff. granted the GTO cost a few more g's than the 02 SS camaro did, but its also a wee bit better.
and the Ford GT isnt built just for straightline, its built for handling and power, and to last long amounts of time being beaten on(as in, le mans). try endurance races with a normal camaro, and see how long it holds up to not only the beating, but the competition.
