Does anyone know if black quarter window trim is available for the S197 cars? I've looked at many, many sites and have found chrome, brushed aluminum and polished aluminum, but no black. As always, your feedback will be appreciated.

You could try Bondy's as a last resort, but you know they'll rip ya. If I can remember, I'll check our vendors when I get to work tomorrow.

Just to make sure I'm thinking of the right thing, basically this in black:

I've been looking all over, from ebay to several mustang specialties sites, all I could find were the Scott Drake polished or aluminum, no black.
Worst case, find the cheapest set of polished or chrome ones around and paint them black.

Sonic, you are correct. That's the 1/4 window trim. I've searched until my eyes hurt and haven't found black ones. The door window trim on the S197 cars is black, so I was thinking someone would make black 1/4 window trim to match. Duh! Thanks to both of you for searching. Think I'll just leave it alone for now.

This is the closest thing I've been able to find, that's actually black.

Yeah, I saw those. Don't really care for them. I have seen the Saleen 1/4 window trim for the S281 cars; it's black and has a partial cover for the window, but it's not a peel and stick item. You have to pay the $199 for the trim, and then spring for adhesive and some kind of conditioner (wrong word...brain fart) as well and glue the stupid things on. Too much of a chance for me to mess it up. I'll just leave it alone for now; may do the paint my own later on. Thanks all.

FWIW I second the getting a pair of aluminium and spending another $10 on paint and painting them black or going ahead and getting them powder coated.

Might be a good idea. I got to actually see the car today. VERY nice looking ride, and those rims really set it off!!!

It was good meeting you also, Sonny. I've been wanting a GT or cobra for sooo long, just so I could mod it and play with it. lol There's so much that I want to do with this one, and eventually will have it just like I want it. One day, maybe I'll even have one of those "terminators" I've been hearing so much about.
