I bet everyone has asked this question. But should I put winter tires on my mustang and if so what brand should I go with? I'll be driving in the snow and what not but I dont think I need them but Chicago does have weird winters, so I thought I should just get some opinions.

Thankfully we don't have to worry about that here. If it snows, like it did last year, the whole town shuts down.

Yeah, 20 minutes after I get to work....lol.
But, it was fun to do some drifting in the little 4 banger fox that can't get out of it's own way.
Being from the snow belt in NY, if you plan on driving your car through the winter, I would recommend some snow tires or at the very least some all seasons if you currently have performance tires. I can't imagine driving a mustang in the snow, but I've seen it done many times back home and I know a lot of people do it.

Weathermasters from Cooper are a good winter tire. The new Weathermaster's are called ST2's both work good. I've run both kinds on front wheel drive cars with no problems. We get a lot of snow up here in VT.

I hear ya when you say "weird" winters...it's been crazy the last couple of years up here.
I've heard good things about Bridgestone Blizzaks on mustangs. My friend had them on a Taurus and he had no problems, and he drove that thing like a mustang in the winter.
Dunlop SP Winter Sports and Continental ContiWinterContacts are supposed to be decent as well. I drove one winter with my stock Goodyear Eagles...not a good idea...they are all season but weren't that great, traction sucked.
Driving in winter isn't too bad if you're careful and have the proper set of tires. Just don't get the speed bug and put yourself in a ditch, over a road, and back into another ditch.

Ah! RWD and snow, I can't wait.
I've heard good things on the Blizzacks as well. I don't know if they were Bridgestone or Continentals though.

I'm running Hankook's version of the Blizzak and it does a great job, have that tire on three cars here in Alaska and all get around great in the ice and snow.

In the winter, it's often desirable to have skinnier Mustang Wheels with snow tires.wider mustang wheels with sticky tyres makes the best choice in winter

As am I. It doesn't help that some kid drives his 2000 GT (saleen clone) past my apartment all the time (sounds great), and that there are 4 94-04 red mustangs and a fox body in plain sight when I step outside the apartment. Eh...march can't come soon enough...

Michelin Pilot A/S Plus are supposed to be the best all season performance tires according to Tirerack.

I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and it gets pretty bad here. I just use studded tires and that works great for me.
