clutch is screeeeaming!

Ok so on top of my other problem..last night when on the way home, my clutch starts making some loud screaming noises. It still grabs every gear, just when I push it in, it sounds and feels like metal on metal..Im taking it to the shop in the morning, but doesnt anyone know what kind of problems I might be looking at? thanks again

Possibly the throw out bearing.

throwout/pilot bearing. They are both cheap parts... its getting to them thats an issue.

On 99-04 v5s the transmission unbolts from the bellhousing on the outside so its pretty easy to remove the transmission then the bellhousing in two parts~ just fyi not a big deal.

If you are in there REPLACE the following

clutch/pressure plate
resurface flywheel
pilot bearing
throwout bearing
inspect pivot ball stud and fork arm replace if any wear sign
inspect bearing retainer sleeve (what throwout slides on)

the stock clutch in 99+ v6s is quite strong so unless you plan to have 300rwhp or more soon the stock one will do just fine.
