hey guys, i was just wondering about how to improve my gas mileage? So far i know, installing duals, CAI, and a chip can improve my mileage maybe not much but something is better that pay 3 bucks a gallon!!! So is there anymore bolt on's or tips out there that could give me more miles to the gallon?

Someone suggested in another thread placing a wooden block under your gas pedal.
I'm inclined to believe that it will work.

i don't believe in some of that crap. if a CAI is suppose to improve performance how does it improve mileage? any mods to make it faster is just working your car more or allowing more airflow which in turn uses more fuel...(correct me if i'm wrong) However the chip may help if it's at the right setting (better spark) and you're driving like an old lady. and don't go out and buy one of those stupid tornado things to put in your air intake that add 35 HP and 5 MPG. that stuff doesn't work, it just sells.
Just keep all the fluids changed regularly, tire pressure where it's suppose to be at, a clean fuel system, good ignition system, working o2 sensors, steady flow of gas if you're on the freeway and all the other common sense stuff.

I get 30 mpg with duals and CAI. I have no mufflers. I also get this on the interstate... and I drive like a fool in the city sometimes though, so I don't know what I'm gonna get.

Not hot rodding your car will definately save gas!!! Also that wood trick REALLY works!! An UDP will help a little too since it slows all your accessories down, and don't use the AC, that helps too.

Don't use the AC in the city at least. Rockin out with the windows down is cheapest in the city, and AC is cheapest on the interstate or highway.

Actually i would say suffering with the windows rolled up and no AC is the cheapest.

That leads to unsightly rock pecks all over the front of a car here.

I really need to look into one of those multi stage chips, my single tune is a little much at times.
