I need help how to remove the factory interior mirror

I'm not 100% sure on 08's but most rear view mirrors are installed with a allen head set screw.

I too am not sure on 05+ but if there's a screw it should be an allen key, otherwise it's just an adhesive. Heat the base up a bit and use some fishing line or dental floss and to separate the base from the glass by cutting through the adhesive.

they look like you would have to remove that metal band around the base then it will probably have a torx or allen head set screw behind it
