Hey i got my rear quarterpanels repainted 3 weeks ago, does anyone know how long i should wait before puttin a coat of wax on em?

I normally wax as soon as it dries for a day or two around here. Dunno bout michigan however. I know I wouldn't drive around or leave it in direct sunlight for very long without a coat of wax to protect that fresh paint.

from what i understand body shops let it dry in the booth over night then let it fully air dry/cure for 2-3 days

if they do the job right the paint will be cured the day you got it back, if they baked it that is.... I would wait about a month to be sure if you are worried or call the place.

Most of the classic stang guys, wait for 1 month for the paint to FULLY cure. Nothing like biting into fresh BC/CC with a rag and leaving burns. |

it doesnt matter how old the car is, if the paint is cured after painted (ask if yours was) it will be good to go.
