aode dead end?

New to forum, but long time reader. I currently have a 94 mustang v6 (aode) and the transmission went out. I have a used trans from a 95 mustang v8 (aode). Every thing plugs in and lines up until I snug the transmission bolts at the bellhousing. Then the crank will not spin, and bellhousing is not fully seated. took trans out to make sure the torque conv. is set and it was. Searched the flex plate, torque converter between the v6 and the v8 and are the same part numbers listed at various parts houses. Whats different? didnt find any posts of anyone trying this. Thank you for reading.

thats wierd it should of fit if its the same part # samthing might be wrong on the car

The only thing I could think of would be the (input?) shaft. It might be different between engine models. You could try replacing that, otherwise it should bolt right up.
