its not fun lol but its pretty easy... just take out the bolts, starting at the end closest to the ground (aka front may be jacked up so rear of the pan. Loosen the back bolts and fluid should start to drain if not keep loosening the bolts around the back side and some on the edges until fluid starts to drain, let it drain. After it has drained then take the pan on off. After this you can replace the filter and put the pan back on after cleaning the seal good to remove debris and crap like that.

After its all back togther fill her up, then you will have to crank the car and cycle though the gears from 1st to drive and reverse etc a few times to get her to start working again. Dont shift fast just leave it in each gear for a couple then go to the next and what not.

Thats how ive always done it, im sure others will chime in.

Btw.

Dropping the pan drains about 1/3 of the fluid, the rest is in the torque convertor & the stock cooler.

It is recomended that the entire system be drained & replaced every 30,000 miles.

From TCCOA.com

There is actually a nut on the Torque Converter - a 1/8-27 dryseal converter drain plug.
When you look underneath the car, there is a rubber grommet on the bottom of the torque converter housing, that pops right off (doesn't seal or anything just keeps debris out of there). Take it out and you will be able to see the TC. Then rotate your TC until you have access to the NUT. That's all.

I'm in the process of changing mine now, but hit a snag, I can't find the bolt on the tc. I removed the rubber thing and can see it. is there any easy way to rotate the tc?
