just doing a little midnight ponderin'.
how much do you think it would cost to just paint a Roush Stage3 Kit to match the 02' black?
i know a while ago when i got in a fender bender with my tbird, it was about 250 for them to repaint the front bumper and drivers fender to match the black, but that was a Stage1 black(clearcoat and paint mixed together). how hard is it to match the factory color code? and how much does paint cost?
btw i will be doing prep/sanding/pre-fab, and i want them to paint the kit OFF of the car. one thing i cant stand is peope driving around with unpainted kits. then once painted just bring it home and install it.
im gonna call a few places soon but i know a few of you on here have done repaints to match the factory. just want a little input.

The only bad thing about doing the prep work yourself is that they won't garauntee the paint.
Are you gettin the whole stage 3 (Front bumper, side skirts, rear valence, 3-post wing) or what?

I have a pint of your paint sitting here in my living room. Costs me I think 75 bucks. Premixed from ford.

mother of god, it wasnt even that much to paint my whole tbird black.
i might attempt to paint them myself, if i can get premixed, ready to spray paint from ford, id be set. i have a spray gun(bottom feed, but i can get a gravity fed cheap) and a compressor already. besides, there really isnt that much to prep on urethane(what the kits made out of).
and ill be going with the full kit, minus spoiler. i might get a saleen wing out back, but not sure yet, still looking. i like the wing that comes on the black widow kits, i think that flows a little better than the more curvy saleen wing on a 99-04.
btw whats the "exact" name of the 02 black? i know its not just black......

LOL 1200 for a front bumper you may as well bend over, give them your CC, sign away your life and live in a cage.

I believe DuPont ChromaBase 99k black base coat is the same as your paint, I'm not exactly sure though. That's what my hoodscoop is at the current moment and it doesn't look any different than my friend's 2000 black GT. I would just go up to ford or check on your vin to get your paint code and go buy a premixed can. I bought a quart for like 65 bucks.

how much do you think it would take to spray just the body kit(and possibly the hood, it needs to be refinished also, lots of pits and chips from freeway driving)?
i remember i got a quart of the stage1 black from when they painted the tbird, leftovers i guess. i used it on my first fiberglass box, and the whole quart only lasted one coat. and the paint never dried.
